About the Coaches
Gagan Ullalmath OLY
Gagan Ullalmath OLY is a distinguished figure in the world of sports coaching. With a notable career that includes representing India at the Olympic Games in London 2012, Gagan has earned numerous national and international accolades for the country. Alongside these achievements, Gagan holds the prestigious NIS Diploma in Sports Coaching, showcasing a commitment to professional development in the field. Currently, Gagan also serves as the head of the programme at Jain International Residential School (JIRS). With vast coaching experience, Gagan brings a wealth of knowledge to talent identification and retention.
Mohit Kumar
Mohit Kumar, a seasoned Swimming Coach, has immersed himself in the world of swimming from a young age. Starting at the age of 8, his passion for the sport has been unwavering. Mohit proudly represented his university at the All India inter-university level, showcasing his dedication and skill.
Having completed his graduation from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, and a Post Graduation Diploma in Yoga Science from Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind, Mohit pursued further specialisation with a Diploma in Sports Coaching from SAI (Netaji Subhas - Southern Bengaluru). Currently, he holds the esteemed position of a swimming coach at Jain International Residential School, where he endeavours to elevate the status of swimming in India to the level of other popular sports.

Our Training programme
Our beginner swimming programme is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of swimming in a safe and supportive environment. Through a structured curriculum, participants will learn essential water safety skills, and basic strokes, and build confidence in the water. Emphasis is placed on comfort in the pool and developing a strong foundation for future swimming endeavours.
Participants in the beginner programme will learn the following:
- Water familiarisation
- Safe entry and exit inside the pool
- Basic physical exercises
- Submerging inside the water
- Floating of different types
- Water safety techniques
- Basic leg action
- Basic arm action
- Various drills to facilitate freestyle and backstroke
At the intermediate level, we focus on refining stroke techniques and building endurance. Participants will enhance their skills in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, while also learning more advanced techniques such as flip turns and dives. This level prepares swimmers to comfortably navigate the pool and sets the stage for more competitive swimming if desired.
Participants in the Intermediate level will learn the following:
- Learn techniques of freestyle and backstroke thoroughly
- Introduction to Breaststroke and Butterfly
- Progression of all four strokes
- Diving, flip turns and finishing
- Building basic endurance
- Focus on Individual Medley Training
- Pace clock reading
Our advanced programme is tailored for experienced swimmers looking to further elevate their abilities. This level emphasises high-level stroke refinement, advanced training methods, and competitive strategies. Swimmers will have the opportunity to participate in mock races and develop the physical and mental fortitude needed to excel in competitive swimming at both school and regional levels.
Participants in the advanced level will work on the following:
- Mastering the technique of all four strokes
- Building endurance, power, speed, strength, agility, mobility, and flexibility
- Target different energy systems in training sessions
- Race-specific training which is both physiological and psychological
- Periodic assessments of fitness levels
