JIRS Clinch title in CBSE TT Tourney

The prestigious CBSE Cluster V11 Table Tennis Tournament for Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh region was conducted from 22 Oct to 24 Oct 2007 at the JIRS Sports Complex.

A total number of 35 teams with 300 participants participated in the under 14, 16 & 19 categories for Boys and Girls in this 3 day event.

Air Force School, Amrita Vidyalayam – Mysore, Chirec Public School, Delhi Public School, Love Dale Central School, Oakridge International School Central School for Tibetans – Mysore, KCPSARP School Vijayawada – AP, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Public School, Sri Aurobindo Memorial School, Rashtrothama Vidya Kendra, Venkat International Public School were some of the leading schools who participated in this meet.

JIRS clinched the boys’ title in the U-16 Category beating MRPL, Mangalore 3-1. They thus qualified for the National CBSE TT tourney to be held at Hyderabad in December 2007.

Apar Shah, Dharnendar, Devansh Binani & Sparsh Goel represented the JIRS team for the winners.

In the girls U-16 category JIRS secured 2 nd place.
